Under this deal, these companies will supply network equipment to VI for the next three years. Under this big deal of the telecom sector, VI will rapidly expand its 4G and 5G network. According to the company, this is the first part of their $ 6.6 billion (Rs 550 billion) capex plan.
Vi wants to reach 120 crore people
Vodafone Idea said on Sunday that we want to expand our 4G network from 103 crore people to 120 crore people as soon as possible. Along with this, 5G network will also be expanded rapidly. Nokia and Ericsson have been working with us earlier as well. Now we have also joined Samsung. Their modern equipment will play an important role in making VI’s network accessible to the people. Company CEO Akshaya Moondra said that we will continue to increase investment in network technology. Our goal is to provide the best experience to our customers. We have started working according to our plan. There are many opportunities for growth in the industry. We want to take advantage of them.
The company’s long term plan was given to the banks
The company said that these new devices will also save energy. Due to this our operating cost will also decrease. Our first target is to expand the 4G network. The company recently raised capital of Rs 24 thousand crores. Apart from this, new spectrum was also purchased for Rs 3,500 crores. The company claims that by the end of September we will increase our capacity by 15 percent and reach 1.6 crore people. The company’s long term plan has been prepared by a third party and given to the banks. We are hopeful that the banks will take a decision on this soon.
