Virat Kohli Completes 27000 International Runs: Virat Kohli has become the fourth cricketer in the world to score 27,000 runs in international cricket. He achieved this feat in the Kanpur test match against Bangladesh. Kohli has touched this figure as soon as he scored 35 runs in the second test match against Bangladesh. Only Ricky Ponting, Kumar Sangakkara and Sachin Tendulkar are ahead of him in this list. Before batting in the Kanpur Test, Kohli had scored 26,965 runs in 593 innings. In the first innings of the second Test match, he scored 47 runs in 35 balls, but was clean bowled by Shakib Al Hasan.
Left behind Sachin Tendulkar
Till now, the record of scoring the fastest 27 thousand runs in international cricket was in the name of Sachin Tendulkar. In the year 2007, Sachin had crossed the figure of 27 thousand runs in the 623rd inning of his career. But Kohli has achieved this historic feat by playing 29 innings less than him. On the other hand, Sangakkara had played 648 innings to complete 27,000 runs, while Ponting had completed so many runs in his 650th innings.
