DCP On Vinesh Phogat Post: Wrestler Vinesh Phogat posted on Thursday. In which she wrote that the security of the female wrestlers who testified in the sexual harassment case against former Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) president Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh has been withdrawn. This news suddenly created a stir in the Delhi Police department. Vinesh Phogat’s post went viral on social media. However, after this, the Delhi Police’s response came. Delhi Police said in its response that no security has been withdrawn.
On Thursday, the wrestlers’ lawyer approached the Rouse Avenue Court and told the court that the trial of this case is about to begin and before that, the security given to the three female wrestlers by the Delhi Police has been withdrawn. After this, an interim order was issued by the court. In this, the complainant’s security was directed to be restored immediately and it was said that security should be given until the statements are completed and further orders are received from the court. Not only this, the court also ordered the DCP of New Delhi district to file a report.
After this, Delhi Police responded to Vinesh’s ‘X’ post. The police said that there is no order to withdraw security. If there is any delay in the arrival of security personnel, then it is being investigated. Wrestlers are also being informed.
Today, when the hearing of this case started at 12.30 pm in Rouse Avenue Court, the DCP of New Delhi district reached the court and the court was told by the DCP that the matter of removing the security of the female wrestlers who accused Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh of sexual harassment was just a misunderstanding and it has been rectified.
After this, the hearing of the sexual harassment case started. In this case, the victim’s lawyer filed a petition before the court that she wants to record her statement through the witness room. Brijbhushan’s lawyer opposed the victim’s petition demanding a hearing in the witness room. The court said that it depends on the victim. If she wants to testify in the witness room, she can do so. Not only this, media persons were not allowed in today’s hearing.
