After entering politics, she has also made a big statement on the controversy of Paris Olympics 2024 in a press conference. On the disqualification matter, she said that the fight is still on and the case is still going on in the court and hopefully we will definitely win it.
Vinesh’s joining Congress was confirmed in the press conference. Meanwhile, on the controversy in the Olympics, she said, “The fight is still going on, it is not over yet. The case is going on in the court right now, we will definitely win that battle and will also win the battle of life. I have never accepted defeat in my sports career and now in this new journey, my feelings towards the country will not be limited to just speaking.”
Was there really a conspiracy?
Let us remind you that Vinesh Phogat had reached the final of the women’s 50 kg wrestling event at the Paris Olympics. But on the morning of the final match, her weight was found to be 100 grams more than the set standards. Due to this, she was disqualified from the Olympic Games and when the matter reached the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS), the decision did not come in her favor.
When Vinesh was asked about the conspiracy in the Olympics, she said, “Whether there was a conspiracy in the Paris Olympics or not, I will answer this at leisure because this is a very emotional topic for me. I reached there after a lifetime of hard work. I will give all the information in detail, but to talk on that topic, I will have to be emotionally prepared so that I can put the truth in front of everyone.”
I will stand with the people
On entering politics, Vinesh Phogat said that she will work hard while staying among her people. This Indian Olympian claimed that she will try to help people in every possible way, whatever is in her power. She gave a message to her fellow sisters that when no one will stand with them, she will stand with them.
