Vettaiyaan Box Office Record: South superstar Rajinikanth’s film ‘Vettaiyan’ was released on October 10, two days before Dussehra. Along with the film, two Hindi films ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’ and ‘Jigra’ were also released. But both of them looked very weak in front of Rajni sir’s film.
It has been 9 days since the film was released and the film has earned around Rs 125 crore in India and Rs 2015 crore worldwide. At the same time, Jigra has not been able to recover even a quarter of its budget with difficulty.

The second major reason for the good performance of the film is the presence of Amitabh Bachchan in the film and his appearance with Rajinikanth. Actually both were last seen in 1991’s ‘Hum’.
