Vettaiyan Box Office Collection Day 6: Bollywood Shahenshah Amitabh Bachchan and South superstar Rajinikanth starrer ‘Vettaiyan’ was released in theaters on October 10. Fans were also very excited to see both the superstars together on the big screen. In such a situation, a crowd of viewers gathered to watch the Tamil action thriller in theaters on the first day and with this it took a bumper opening. How much did ‘Vettaiyan’ collect on the sixth day?
‘Vettaiyan’ directed by TJ Gnanavel was the much awaited film of the year. Rajinikanth has played the lead role in this action drama. Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Manju Warrier and Rana Daggubati also play important roles in the film. The film revolves around Rajinikanth’s character, senior policeman Athiyan, who accidentally shoots an innocent man during an encounter while investigating the murder of a teacher. The film has received mixed reviews from audiences and critics. Despite this the film has made good collections.
In the four-day extended opening weekend, Vettaiyaan grossed Rs 104.75 crore in India and Rs 189 crore worldwide. However, on Monday i.e. on the fifth day, there was a significant decline in the film’s earnings and it collected Rs 5.60 crore at the domestic box office. Now the collection figures of the sixth day of the film’s release i.e. Tuesday have come.
- The Rajinikanth-starrer’s earnings further declined on Tuesday as it collected Rs 4.25 crore in India on its sixth day of release, according to Sacknilk’s early trend report.
- With this, the total collection of 6 days of ‘Vettaiyan’ has now become Rs 114.60 crore.
Despite declining earnings, these films are ahead ,Vettaiyaan’
Apart from ‘Vettaiyan’, Alia Bhatt’s ‘Jigra’ and Rajkumar Rao’s ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’ were released in theaters on the occasion of this Dussehra. In terms of earnings, this film is far ahead of ‘Jigra’ and ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’. Where Alia’s ‘Jigra’ is struggling even to earn Rs 20 crores. Rajkummar Rao’s ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Video’ has also crossed the Rs 20 crore mark. Compared to these two films, ‘Vettaiyan’ has collected more than Rs 100 crore. Amidst all this, the makers are hopeful that the earnings of ‘Vettaiyan’ will increase on the second weekend.
