Vettaiyan Box Office Collection Day 3: The dream of the audience yearning to see Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan sharing the screen together has been fulfilled through the film ‘Vettaiyan’. ‘Vettaiyan’ was released in theaters on October 10 and became a hit at the box office as soon as it hit the screens. The film had become a part of Rs 50 crore club in just two days and now it is making strong earnings on weekends.
According to the report of Sacknilk, ‘Vettaiyan’ opened at the box office with a collection of Rs 31.7 crore on the first day. The film had earned Rs 24 crore on the second day, whereas now the figures of the third day have come out, according to which the film has earned a total of Rs 26.1 crore on the first Saturday. With this, the total collection of ‘Vettaiyan’ at the domestic box office has reached Rs 81.70 crore.
Clash had no impact on Hindi films
Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan’s film ‘Vettaiyan’ has been released in 4 languages - Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Kannada. The next day of the film’s release i.e. on October 11, Alia Bhatt’s ‘Jigra’ and Rajkumar Rao’s ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’ also hit the screens. However, the release of both the films had no impact on ‘Vettaiyan’ and it had a strong performance. Collection continues.
Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan seen on screen after 33 years
Through ‘Vettaiyan’, Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan are seen together on screen once again after 33 years. Both have worked together in many films including ‘Andha Kanoon’, ‘Girftaar’ and ‘Hum’.

T.J. The film ‘Vettaiyan’, directed by Gnanavel, has been made under the banner of Lyca Productions. Apart from Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Dushara Vijayan and Ritika Singh are also seen playing important roles in the film.
