This year many big films came in Bollywood. From Stree 2 to Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, there were many such films which created havoc at the box office. But in the meantime, some Hollywood films also came which quietly gathered audiences, earned money and became super hits at the Indian box office.
The special thing about these films was that they left behind even the Bollywood films released along with them. Many of the films which beat these Hollywood films in earnings were of big Bollywood stars.
Marvel’s Deadpool and Wolverine is at number one in this list. According to Sacknilk, the film had earned Rs 136.15 crore in India. It was released in India on 26 July. While Vicky Kaushal’s Bad News, which was released a week before this, did a business of only around Rs 65 crores, this film earned twice as much as this Bollywood film.
The second number in the list is of Monster Universe film Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire which had earned Rs 106.99 crore in India. This film was released on 29 March. Kareena Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Tabu starrer film Crew was also released on the same day. This film also made decent collections but the film lagged behind Hollywood films in terms of overall collection. The crew’s earnings remained only Rs 81.7 crore.
The third favorite in this list is Kungfu Panda, liked by children and adults. The fourth part of this film was released on March 15 this year and the film earned Rs 38.99 crore at the Indian box office. Let us tell you that Siddharth Malhotra’s much awaited film Yodha was also released on the same day, but the film proved unsuccessful at the box office. The film earned only Rs 35.56 crore in India.
The fourth number in the list is of anti-hero Venom The Last Dance. The third part of the Venom series of films earned Rs 52.56 crore in India. This film was released on 25 October. Alia Bhatt’s Jigra was released about 15 days before this film. Jigra, released on October 10, proved to be a disaster and the film earned only Rs 31.98 crore, while Vicky Vidya Ka Woh video, released on October 11, earned Rs 41.9 crore.
The fifth number in the list was Dune Part 2. The film, released on March 1, earned Rs 29.87 crore at the Indian box office, according to Sacnilc. On the same day, Satish Kaushik and Anupam Kher’s Kaagaz 2 was also released, but this film did a business of only Rs 26 lakh.
