Meanwhile, Kolkata Knight Riders is the first team which has retained 6 players and now it cannot even use the Right to Match card in the auction. All-rounder Venkatesh Iyer’s emotional statement on being out of the team has come to light.
Kolkata Knight Riders have retained Rinku Singh, Varun Chakraborty, Sunil Narine, Andre Russell, Harshit Rana and Ramandeep Singh for IPL 2025. KKR’s retention list is excellent
Now according to Rev Sport, he said, “I believe that KKR has retained very good players. With the help of 6 players, they have covered 14-16 overs of bowling in retention and in batting, the team has retained 5 positions. I wish I could also be a part of that retention list.
Venkatesh Iyer became emotional
Venkatesh Iyer was clearly unhappy with not being included in the retention list of KKR. He said, “KKR has given a new flight to my career and I have also played for this team with full effort. KKR team is also special because here there are not only 16 players in the squad but the players, coaching staff and management are also a family. We live like a family, so I might be a little emotional seeing that my name is not there in 2022, but I don’t know now. “I know how these things work.”
