Venkatesh Iyer Century Ranji Trophy: Venkatesh Iyer has dominated the fourth round match of Ranji Trophy. He has scored a strong century while playing for Madhya Pradesh. In the Madhya Pradesh (MP) vs Bihar match which started from 6th November, MP won the toss and chose to bat first. By the end of the first day’s play, MP team had scored a huge score of 381 runs at the loss of 4 wickets. Currently Venkatesh Iyer is playing with 118 runs and Shubham Sharma is playing with 134 runs.
Venkatesh Iyer came to bat when Madhya Pradesh had lost the fourth wicket at the score of 147. From here Iyer and Shubham thrashed the bowlers of Bihar. On one hand, captain Shubham Sharma is currently playing after scoring 134 runs in 182 balls, on the other hand, Venkatesh Iyer is batting at a strike rate of more than 100. He is currently unbeaten after scoring 118 runs after playing 113 balls. The partnership between both has reached 234 runs.
This is the second century of Venkatesh Iyer’s first-class career. His first century came against Pondicherry in the last season of Ranji Trophy. In that encounter, Iyer played an important role in giving MP a huge victory of 319 runs by playing an inning of 135 runs.
KKR had released
All ten teams had released their respective retention lists for IPL 2025 on October 31. KKR had retained 6 players, whose names are Rinku Singh, Sunil Narine, Andre Russell, Varun Chakraborty, Harshit Rana and Ramandeep Singh. Venkatesh Iyer scored 370 runs including four half-centuries in 14 matches for KKR in IPL 2024. Despite this good performance, Iyer also expressed disappointment when Kolkata did not retain him. Well now he has responded to his release with his bat.
