Vanvaas Review: Such films are not made anymore, the content has gone beyond what is required. We have forgotten such films but it is also true that in the era of mobile and social media, we have become distant from our families. This film may be a little old school, it may have a little melodrama in it, but it does a very important job. It brings you closer to your family and tells you the importance of family. In one scene, when Paritosh Tripathi garlands the picture of his father Nana Patekar and says that Babuji is no more, your heart cries because Babuji is alive. Relationships are dead and this film revives those dead relationships of today’s era.
Story
Nana Patekar has 3 sons, who want to sell their ancestral house. But Nana does not want this because his wife’s memories reside here. His sons leave him in Banaras and come back and tell everyone that he is no more. Nana has amnesia, so he doesn’t remember his name or home address. Here they get Veeru i.e. Utkarsh, what happens next, you will have to go to the theater and see.
how is the movie
This film tells you the importance of relationships, it is a little long, a little more drama is shown but still it makes you feel a lot. Nana Patekar creates magic on the screen and you get lost in that magic and ignore the shortcomings of this film. This film does not seem to be of today’s era, it seems like it would have come 20 years ago but perhaps such a film is needed in today’s times. Had it been a little smaller, it would have been more effective but it still leaves an impact and it should have this impact.
acting
Nana Patekar is amazing, he has lived this character of Deepak Tyagi. His eyes, his voice make you feel a lot. He is the biggest reason to watch this film. He covers all the flaws of this film with his acting. Utkarsh’s work is good, he is a little loud at times but perhaps the character was written like this. They have a lot of potential to do well. Rajpal Yadav has done such characters a lot, there was nothing new for him to do. Paritosh Tripathi has played the only son who is sad about being thrown out of his father’s house and he has played this character amazingly. After Nana, he impressed me the most. Simrat Kaur could not do anything special, Rajesh Sharma looked good.
direction
This film has been written and directed by Anil Sharma. He has tried to convey a good story to the people. If he had given it a little modern touch, reduced the melodramatic drama and made the film a little shorter, it would have looked better, but still he said what he wanted to say.
Overall, you can watch this film for your family, it will bring you closer to your family.
