TRAI: The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has issued a directive for non-registered organizations making spam calls to telecom companies. TRAI has issued this latest directive today. This information has been shared by TRAI through a post on its official website as well as on X. TRAI has given instructions to disconnect the connection of telecom resources of all these organizations. At the same time, instructions have also been given to blacklist such companies for two years. This simply means that now you will get rid of spam calls.
TRAI said that during this period, no new connections will be given to any telecom company. TRAI has asked to follow this new rule immediately. TRAI has also asked to give regular details on this subject.

TRAI has directed to stop calls made for promotion by all unregistered telemarketing companies using bulk connections and telecom resources. It has been asked to stop all such calls immediately, whether they are computer recorded or made by the customer care provider.
TRAI has been asked to strictly follow this decision. This decision of TRAI is likely to reduce spam calls made to users by unregistered telemarketing companies.
Will have to give regular details
TRAI has asked all telecom companies to follow this new rule. Along with this, the companies have also been instructed to give regular updates on the action taken in this regard on the first and 16th of every month.
Let us tell you that TRAI had held a meeting with all the telecom companies regarding spam calls last week. Officials of companies like Airtel, Reliance Jio, Tata Teleservices Limited, BSNL, Vodafone Idea Limited, Qtel along with V-Kan Mobile & Infra attended this meeting. Now it is believed that after this decision of TRAI, the spam calls coming to the users can be reduced significantly and the users will also get rid of the problems caused by it.
