Amul Ghee: Amul India had issued a clarification a day earlier regarding the supply of its ghee to the Tirupati temple. The company had clarified a day earlier that it had never supplied Amul Ghee to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams. Despite this, many such claims were being made on social media. The company had said that all these are rumors. There is no truth in them. Now on Saturday, the company has lodged an FIR against many social media users.
MD Jayen Mehta said- 36 lakh people are also getting affected
Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation, which runs the Amul brand, has again warned that it has nothing to do with the supply of ghee to Tirupati temple. Federation MD Jayen Mehta said that 36 lakh milk producers are associated with us. Spreading such rumours will have a negative impact on them too. Police have registered a case against 7 users of social media platform X for spreading misleading information. It has been said in the police case that these 7 people had claimed that the ghee mixed in Laddu Prasad is of Amul brand. This has been done with the intention of hurting the reputation of the Milk Federation.

Controversy arose due to allegations of use of adulterated ghee
This controversy started when Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu alleged that the alleged adulteration in the Tirupati temple laddus happened during the tenure of former Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy. However, Jagan Mohan Reddy has completely rejected these allegations. The temple management had said that investigations have indicated that animal fat and palm oil etc. have been used in ghee.
