The Sabarmati Report Review: The country looks towards the media to know the truth and the media looks towards its owners, this is the dialogue of the film, Vikrant Massey says, then Vikrant Babu never asks us to look towards our owners and I am saying this without looking towards them. That this film must be watched.
Vikrant Massey has made such a name for himself that wherever he is, there is hope for good content, Vikrant’s association with a film like The Sabarmati Report gave the assurance that there might have been some uproar, but here there is nothing but a lot of uproar. And not only Vikrant, Riddhi Dogra, Raashi Khanna and Ekta Kapoor are also in trouble.
Story
Godhra incident has been shown in this film, when on 27 February 2002, a bogie of Sabarmati Express caught fire at the station in Godhra, Gujarat and 59 innocent people lost their lives, what is the truth about it, accident or conspiracy, this film. Investigates from a reporter’s perspective.
How is the movie?
This film boldly shows the truth of Sabarmati, this film is tight, shows things from the media’s perspective. It also shows something which tarnishes the image of the media but when it is about the lives of 59 people then it should be discussed. The film talks about every aspect, tells what the court said, keeps you engaged. You become a reporter with these reporters to know the truth of this case.
Today’s generation may not know about this incident, so this film also acts as a document for them. The film does not bore you anywhere, it does not seem dragged anywhere, things keep moving forward at a fast pace, yes there is a little less emotional connect, if that had been the case then the film would have been better.
acting
After failing in 12th, Vikrant is back in form and in this report he gets full marks. A new journalist who shows the truth, a Hindi speaking journalist, hardly anyone other than Vikrant could have played this character. He has played this character with perfection. Riddhi Dogra has done an amazing job, media people will be able to relate a lot to her character, you will find journalists like Riddhi’s character in every newsroom, her expressions are perfect.
Raashi Khanna has played the character of a trainee journalist with perfection. From a fan of a big journalist to a journalist who shows her the mirror of truth, this role is one of her best roles, the rest of the actors have also done a good job.
direction
Dheeraj Sarna’s direction is good, he did not drag the film. Everything was shown in 2 hours, but more emotion should have been added. Ekta Kapoor also has to be praised that she chose such a subject, it requires courage. Ekta’s journey from mother-in-law to daughter-in-law to Sabarmati has been interesting. She is creating all kinds of content and does not hesitate to try something new and also takes criticism positively, salute to her courage.
