The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power 2: The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power 2 has been released on Amazon Prime Video. ABP Live Singapore had an exclusive conversation with the creators and actors of the series. In this conversation, these stars not only talked about the special features of the series, but also the Indian connection of these stars came out, from Hrithik Roshan to Priyanka Chopra was mentioned.
When the creator of this series, JD Payne, was asked why he chose only 3 female directors to direct this series?
On this he said, ‘We did some interviews but we liked Charlotte, Sana and Louis the most as creative directors. Every director has his own unique energy. Louis has a lot of fun, energetic and super active energy. Sana is very specific and she knows exactly what she wants to do. Charlotte is a director who has a lot of experience and she also did two important episodes with us in season 1.’
He further said, ‘We are very excited to bring her in 4 episodes of season 2 and she is also the producer director of season 2. We have had a very good collaboration with these three and the directors have also worked together for a long time. So they are a community and we had a lot of fun working with such talented filmmakers.’

When Markella Kavenagh and Megan Richards, who are playing important characters in the series, were asked about their experience of working in this series, they said, ‘I really liked my look, I think this is a great character, this character is quite messy. The costume and makeup are great and also help a lot to get into the character. This is how characters like Nori and Poppy are created and I enjoyed playing a character that can transform.’
‘It took 3 hours to get ready’
Megan Richards told that it took her 3 hours to get ready for this character. She said, ‘I also think that this is such an experience in which you feel that your character has been created after spending 3 hours. You don’t get a chance to transform every day, so it was a lot of fun to experience this character.’
JD also told how important writing is in such big shows. He said, ‘I think everything starts from there, because without a script you don’t have a roadmap. It feels like you are stranded in the ocean and don’t know which way to travel. You need to have a plan and a story that is worth telling.’
Megan Richards also answered the question that what would she do if she got a power ring. The actress said, ‘I would like to speak in every language, that would be very helpful for me. I feel jealous of people who can speak many languages.’ JD also told that her favorite Indian actor is Hrithik Roshan, she met him in Mumbai.
