The Great Indian Kapil Show 2 Ep 9 Review: The episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show, which the audience was waiting for for a long time, has finally arrived. Ever since the audience came to know that Navjot Singh Sidhu is going to come on the show, there has been a lot of uneasiness about it. And why not, Siddhu Paaji has played an important role in Kapil’s show which has been running for more than a decade.
Siddhu paaji’s presence in the show often made people laugh even without saying anything. Just because of this nostalgia, I was waiting for this episode with Navjot Singh Sidhu. This time not only Navjot, his wife Navjot Kaur and former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh and his wife Geeta Basra also came.
This time’s show was special in many ways. Along with laughter, tickles and chitchat, there were also emotional moments.
Was there anything special in this time’s Kapil show?
There is no dearth of comedians and actors with excellent comic timing in Kapil Sharma’s show. From Kapil’s punch and Sunil’s acting to the amazing performances of Kiku Sharda and Krishna Abhishek, it has always been its speciality.

Watching the show this time clearly shows that this was the one thing which is lacking in most of the shows. That is, there comes a little bit of artificiality in the conversation, but this time it was not like that at all. Love fights between Navjot and his wife, their emotional talks, painful moments of wife Navjot Kaur during cancer. All these things also took the audience into the pure world of emotions.
Performance of the rest of the cast of the show
This time too Kiku Sharda, Krishna Abhishek and Sunil Grover dominated. However, Sunil Grover definitely took a little more number than all these with his tremendous comic timing and mimicry style.
shortcomings
This time there were some shortcomings in the show. However, the show did not suffer any loss due to these shortcomings. Still, let’s take a cursory look at them.
- This time Kapil Sharma remained lost i.e. he had the maximum screen time, yet he could not do anything other than just appearing on the screen. Because most of the time it remained in the name of Navjot Singh Sidhu.
- Felt worst for Harbhajan Singh and his wife Geeta Basra. If he had been invited as a separate guest, perhaps he would have been at the center of the conversation, but due to Navjot Singh Sidhu’s physique, there did not appear to be any significant benefit in his not being on the stage.
