Suryakumar Yadav Indian Test Team: Suryakumar Yadav was recently seen leading India in the T20 series played against Sri Lanka. After Rohit Sharma retired from T20 International, Surya was given the command of the T20 team. However, even before this, Surya had led India’s T20 team. Now it is being told that he has become the regular captain of T20. However, despite this, one wish of Surya seems to be unfulfilled.
Actually Surya said that he also wants to make a place in India’s Test team. He said that he will play domestic cricket to get into the Test team. Apart from this, Surya said that getting into the Test team is not in his hands, but playing domestic tournaments is in his hands.
Talking to the Indian Express, Suryakumar Yadav said, “There are many players who have worked hard to make their place in the Test team. I also want to make a place in that Test team. When I made my Test debut for India, I got injured. Many players who got a chance did well. These are the players who deserve a chance now.”
Surya further said, “If I have to play in the future, it is not in my hands. Right now what is in my control is to play this tournament (Buchi Babu), play Duleep Trophy and then we will see what happens.”
Let us tell you that Surya will be seen playing in the Duleep Trophy starting from September 5. Before the Duleep Trophy, he will play for Mumbai Cricket Association in the Buchi Babu Invitational Tournament against TNCA XI in Coimbatore on Tuesday.
Made Test debut in 2023
It is worth noting that Surya made his Test debut for Team India in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy played against Australia in 2023. However, he has played only one Test match so far. Now it will be interesting to see when he gets a chance to play the second Test for Team India.
