Swiggy Scenes: Swiggy is preparing to attack Zomato’s stronghold. Swiggy has made long-term plans to defeat Zomato on a particular front. This front belongs to the show-ticketing platform. Zomato provides tickets for many events to its customers through its show-ticketing platform District. In response to the district, Swiggy has launched the Scenes platform. Through this, there are currently preparations to provide show tickets for 55 events in Delhi-NCR and 48 events in Bengaluru. Scenes will currently provide tickets for programs in Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru and Mumbai through its platform. These include New Year celebrations, Christmas parties and live music shows. Earlier too, Swiggy was offering live event ticketing service through its dining platform Dineout in collaboration with Book My Show. Zomato and Swiggy are giving competition to each other in many such verticals.
Zomato is also expanding its event space
With the launch of Swiggy’s Scenes soon after the launch of Zomato’s event show platform District, the fight is not over. Zomato is now busy expanding its event space. After Zomato acquired event-ticketing platform Paytm Insider, it has become a big player in this game.
Both are focused on making loyal users
Now the business battle between Zomato and Swiggy is about creating loyal users to expand profits. For this, both the companies are focusing on membership. Zomato is pushing to establish itself as the default platform for customers who spend on everyday conveniences. In this battle between Swiggy and Zomato, Zomato is still leading over Swiggy. It remains to be seen how far this fight goes. In these, only the companies take more advantage or due to competition the facilities also become economical and whether the customers also get the benefit of the improvement or not.
