Suryakumar Yadav Captaincy Record in T20 International: India vs England T20 series is going to start from 22nd January. England had already announced their squad and last Saturday BCCI has also announced the Indian team. Both teams have strong batsmen and deadly bowlers, so this series will be exciting before the Champions Trophy 2025. Meanwhile, everyone’s eyes will also be on Suryakumar Yadav, who was given the captaincy of India’s T20 team after the T20 World Cup 2024.
Report card of Captain Suryakumar Yadav
Gautam Gambhir started as head coach last year with the series against Sri Lanka. Suryakumar Yadav’s captaincy journey in T20 also started from there. After taking over the responsibility of captaincy, Suryakumar has so far led Team India in a total of 10 matches, in which it has lost only once. That means after getting full-time captaincy, Suryakumar’s win-loss record is 9-1. Even before that, Suryakumar was seen leading the Indian team on many occasions. He has captained India in a total of 17 matches so far, out of which the team has won 13 times and lost only three times.
If we look at the individual performance of Suryakumar Yadav, he has played 10 matches since the series against Sri Lanka last year. In 9 innings of these 10 matches, he has scored 230 runs which include two half-centuries. Suryakumar is an ideal T20 batsman, hitting shots all around the field and currently holds the second position in terms of scoring most centuries (4) in the history of international T20 cricket. Suryakumar will be playing the fourth series of his captaincy career against England and he would definitely like to lead Team India and win the fourth consecutive T20 series.
