Stock market opening on 12 February 2025: The Indian stock market is open with a sharp decline for the third consecutive day this week. Due to a sharp decline in FMCG, banking and energy stocks, there is a huge decline in the major index Sensex-Nifty of both the exchange. Today, there is a furore in midcap and smallcap stocks for the third consecutive day. Only IT stocks are also seeing a boom. BSE Sensex is trading 481 points declining by 75813 and the National Stock Exchange Nifty is trading at 22925 points due to fast selling of investors and the National Stock Exchange. The Sensex is trading below 76000 and the Nifty is trading below 23000 points. Earlier this week, President Donald Trump decided to put a tariff on steel aluminum inports, since then the market is seeing a huge decline.
Investors lost 6.50 lakh crores
Due to heavy selling in the market, 30 stocks of Sensex are trading with 24 stocks declining and only 6 stocks are boom. The market capitalization of the stocks listed on BSE has come to Rs 402.12 lakh crore, which was at Rs 408.52 lakh crore in the previous session. That is, in today’s trade, investors have lost Rs 6.40 lakh crore.
Falling stocks
In today’s session, Mahindra & Mahindra 3.96 per cent, Zomato 3.37 per cent, Reliance 3.01 per cent, IndusInd Bank 2.26 per cent, ITC 2.02 per cent, Axis Bank 1.97 per cent, Power Grid 1.84 per cent, Adani Ports 1.76 per cent, Asian Paints 1.54 per cent decline. Is doing business Among the fast shares, TCS is trading at 1.01 per cent, Tech Mahindra 0.92 per cent, Infosys 0.49 per cent, Sun Pharma 0.10 per cent.
Condition of sector
In today’s trade, the midcap of Nifty is once trading with a fall of 1200 points or 2.37 per cent. The Nifty Midcap index has broken the level of 50000 in selling and came to the level of 49582. The same situation is with the small cap index. The Nifty’s small cap index is trading at 500 points or 3.20 per cent to 15558 points.
