Stock Market Closing: Today, trading was seen in a limited range in the Indian stock market, but by the time of market closing, Sensex and Nifty closed on the green mark with a rise. Even though trading in Nifty closed with a slight rise of 10 points, a gain of 110 points was recorded in Sensex. Today, Sensex and Nifty were seen trading with ups and downs throughout the day and a decline was also seen, but as the closing approached, they managed to close with a rise.
At what levels did the stock market close?
BSE Sensex today closed at the level of 80,956.33 with a gain of 110.58 points or 0.14 percent. Apart from this, NSE’s Nifty closed at 24,467.45 with a gain of 10.30 points. Today, good gains were recorded in Bank Nifty and it jumped 571.15 points or 1.08 percent and closed at the level of 53,266. This sector has supported the market.
Banking shares boom
For the fourth consecutive day, the stock market closed with a rise and HDFC Bank continued to make new peaks. Due to huge surge in PSU banks, Bank Nifty got support and it has shown closing rise of 571 points today.
Situation of Sensex shares
14 out of 30 BSE Sensex stocks remained strong in which HDFC Bank closed on the top. NTPC, Bajaj Finserv, TCS, Titan and Tech Mahindra were also among the top Sensex gainers. Bharti Airtel closed at the bottom among the falling stocks and a decline was also seen in the shares of Tata Motors, Adani Ports, PowerGrid, Maruti and Reliance Industries.
Market Capitalization of BSE
If we look at the market cap of BSE, it has closed at Rs 455.63 lakh crore. Trade closed in 4070 shares on BSE, out of which 2381 shares closed in the positive direction. There was a decline in 1584 shares and 105 shares closed with no change. There was upper circuit on 448 shares while trading was closed on lower circuit in 148 shares.
