Wanindu Hasaranga Ruled Out: The second match of the three-match ODI series will be played between India and Sri Lanka today i.e. on Sunday, 04 August. Hasaranga’s exclusion can prove to be a big problem for Sri Lanka. Jeffrey Vandersay has been included in the squad in place of Hasaranga.
Let us tell you that Hasranga is out of the remaining two matches of the ODI series due to injury in his left hamstring. Sri Lanka Cricket Board gave an update on Hasranga’s injury through social media.
The board wrote, “Wanindu Hasranga will not be able to play the remaining matches of the ODI series, as the player has suffered an injury to his left hamstring. During the first ODI, while bowling the last ball of his 10th over, he felt pain in his left hamstring. After this, the player’s MRI confirmed the injury.”

Hasranga contributed with both bat and ball in the first ODI. While batting first, he scored 24 runs in 35 balls with the help of 1 four and 2 sixes. Then while bowling, he took 3 wickets in 10 overs. During this, he conceded runs at an economy of 5.80.
