Singer kalpana raghavendar: South’s famous playback singer and dubbing artist Kalpana Raghavendra allegedly tried to commit suicide at her Nizampet home on 2 March. According to media reports, he attempted suicide by eating sleeping pills. When he did not open the door of his house for two days, the security guard informed the neighbors after which the police was informed.
Later the singer was admitted to the hospital in a state of unconsciousness. He was then shifted to a private hospital in Nizampet where he is undergoing treatment. Kalpana is currently on ventilator support. Why the singer tried suicide, the reason has not been known at the moment.

After this incident, Kalpana’s husband Prasad reached the city. Police officer is questioning Kalpana’s husband. According to several media reports, many famous celebrities including Shri Krishna, Sunita, Geeta Madhuri and Karunya met her to know the condition of the singer.

According to a police officer of KPHB police station, doctors treating him said that the singer took sleeping pills and will get more information only after coming to his senses. He also told that his condition is now “out of danger”.
