Sonakshi-Zaheer Relationship: Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal are the most popular couple of Bollywood. The couple had a civil marriage on June 23, 2024 at home in the presence of family and close friends. After the intimate wedding, the couple also hosted a grand reception party on the same day which was attended by many celebs including Aditi Rao Hydari, Salman Khan, Rekha and Kajol. In an interview, the couple revealed why they had kept their relationship hidden for seven years.
Why did Sonakshi-Zaheer hide their relationship for seven years?
Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal dated for seven years before marriage. Both of them were spotted together on many occasions, yet the couple never confirmed their relationship openly. Well, in a full conversation with CNN-News18, Sonakshi and Zaheer finally revealed why they hid their relationship for seven years. To this Sonakshi immediately replied and claimed that “looks” were the major reason.
Sonakshi further said, “I think it is always better to keep personal things personal. You are already in the limelight. Everyone knows everything about you. Keep what you love very much to yourself. Needed.”
Keeping the relationship a secret was not the plan
Sonakshi Sinha also admitted that the secrecy of their relationship was completely natural. He stressed that no strategy was adopted to keep the relationship secret for so many years. Sonakshi said, “We met, we fell in love, we started going out, for me, I realized long ago that this is permanent.”
However, Zaheer did not realize this as quickly as Sonakshi did. However, with time, Zaheer finally came to the conclusion that Sonakshi was the only one for him and no one else. To this Zaheer said, “A boy is a boy, I thought it was just because it was new, I knew from day one that he was the one, but I accepted it much later.”
