Iyer got a huge profit in the mock auction after scoring a century. The mega auction of IPL 2025 will take place from Sunday. But before this, Iyer was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders for crores in a mock auction.
Actually Jio Cinema has conducted a mock auction. In this, Kolkata bought Iyer for Rs 21 crore. Other teams also placed bets on Iyer. But KKR won. Iyer has recently scored a century for Mumbai. He played an explosive innings against Goa. Iyer faced 57 balls and scored unbeaten 30 runs. This innings of Shreyas included 11 fours and 10 sixes.
Mega auction will be held in Jeddah –
This time the mega auction of IPL 2025 will be held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This will happen on 24th and 25th November. Before the auction, the teams had released the retained list of players. Kolkata Knight Riders did not retain captain Iyer. The team released him. Iyer is in form and has performed brilliantly in the last several innings. He can get a huge amount in the mega auction.
Iyer scored two centuries and a double century in the last four innings –
Iyer had scored 142 runs in a first class match for Mumbai. His bat did not stop here. He scored a double century in a match. Shreyas scored 233 runs in a first class innings against Odisha. After this he had scored 47 runs against Services and now scored a century. Iyer scored unbeaten 130 runs in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
