Ex-wife had made allegations of cheating
His ex-wife Suchitra Krishnamurthy had accused him of cheating and disrespect. In an interview, he had also accused Preity Zinta and blamed her for the divorce.
In Siddharth Kanan’s interview, he had said that Preity Zinta was the reason behind the breakup of his marriage. He had given a hint about the affair of Preity Zinta and Shekhar Kapur.
However, Preity Zinta had called all these allegations false. Quoting Preeti’s statement, Bollywood Thikana had written – ‘I am the number one actress and you have not even worked. You are a homemaker. Suchitra, don’t talk to me like that. You need to see a psychiatrist because your mind is not in the right place.
To this Suchitra had replied- ‘This is a free world and I can say whatever I want. I feel very proud to be a homemaker.
Shekhar Kapur had reacted to Suchitra’s allegations and said that he has had many relationships and his life cannot be without romance. Shekhar had also said that he has never been in a relationship in which there was no respect. Even though the dynamics of the relationship may have changed, the respect has always been there. Shekhar had said that when deep understanding develops in a relationship, it becomes challenging to get out of that relationship.
