Share Market Opening 31 July: Amid global pressure, the domestic stock market started trading slowly on Wednesday. Stock markets across the world are under pressure before the US central bank Federal Reserve’s decision on interest rates. This may also have an impact on the domestic market in today’s trading.
Domestic markets in early trade
The Sensex opened at 9:15 am with a gain of about 135 points. The market movement remained slow in the initial session. At 9:20 am, the Sensex was trading near 81,600 points with a marginal gain of around 145 points. At the same time, the Nifty was near 24,900 points with a gain of about 42 points.
The market was in such a boom in pre-open
The BSE Sensex was up by more than 200 points in the pre-open session and had crossed 81,655 points. Nifty was also slightly below 24,890 points with a slight gain of about 30 points. Before the market opened, the Nifty future in GIFT City was near 24,920 points with a loss of about 15 points. The trend of GIFT Nifty was indicating that the market may remain sluggish today.
There was a slight increase on Tuesday
Earlier on Tuesday, there was a slight increase in the domestic market. After the end of trading, the Sensex closed at 81,455.40 points with a marginal gain of only 99.56 points (0.12%). Similarly, the NSE Nifty 50 index closed at 24,857.30 points with a gain of only 21.20 points (0.09%).
This is the condition of the global market
On Tuesday, a mixed trend was seen in the US stock market. On Wall Street, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 0.50 percent. Similarly, the S&P500 was down 0.50 percent and the Nasdaq Composite Index was down 1.28 percent. Asian markets are down today. Japan’s Nikkei is down 0.84 percent and the Topix is down 0.40 percent. South Korea’s Kospi is up 0.48 percent, while the Kosdaq is flat. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is showing signs of a positive start.
Sensex shares in early trade
Most of the big stocks are trading higher in the early trade. More than 20 stocks on the Sensex were trading higher in the morning session. NTPC was the strongest by about 2%. Asian Paints was up by more than 1.5% and ITC was up by more than 1%. On the other hand, stocks like Power Grid Corporation, Tata Motors, IndusInd Bank were trading lower.
