Share Market Opening 23 September: There are indications that the spectacular rally in the domestic stock market will continue even today. Both BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty started trading today on Monday with new record highs. Earlier on Friday too, the domestic market had recorded a new peak level.
At 9:15 am, the Sensex opened at 84,843.72 points with a gain of about 300 points, which is above the previous record high level. Nifty also started at a new high of 25,872.55 points with a gain of more than 80 points. At 9:25 am, the Sensex was trading near 84,825 points with a gain of 285 points. At the same time, the NSE Nifty 50 index was near 25,898.25 points with a gain of about 106 points. Nifty was able to touch the peak of 25,910.35 points in a few minutes of trading.
The market rally is expected to continue
Even before the start of trading in the domestic market, there were indications of the bullish trend continuing today. In the pre-open session, the Sensex was trading above 84,650 points with a gain of about 110 points, while the Nifty had crossed 25,870 points with a gain of about 80 points. In the morning, the Nifty futures in GIFT City were trading at 25,890 points with a great premium of about 100 points.
New records made in the market on Friday
Earlier, on the last day of last week, Friday, the domestic market witnessed a tremendous boom and the market was successful in reaching new record levels. In Friday’s trading, the Sensex closed at 84,544.31 points with a gain of 1,359.51 points (1.63 percent). At the same time, after the end of trading, Nifty50 closed at 25,790.95 points with a gain of 375.15 points (1.48 percent).
Mixed trend in global market
The US market had a mixed trend on Friday. On Wall Street, the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed with a slight gain of 0.09 percent. The S&P 500 index fell by 0.19 percent and the tech-focused index Nasdaq fell by 0.36 percent. Today, Monday, Asian markets are showing weakness. Japan’s Nikkei is closed due to a public holiday. South Korea’s Kospi has fallen by 0.15 percent. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index is showing signs of starting with losses today.
Condition of big stocks in early trade
In the early trade, most of the shares on Sensex are trading in profit. Mahindra & Mahindra was the strongest by about 2 percent. Shares like Bharti Airtel, NTPC and SBI were up by more than 1 percent each. On the other hand, ICICI Bank was the biggest loser by 1.30 percent. Shares like HCL Tech, Infosys, IndusInd Bank were also trading in loss.
