RBI Governor: The world has once again acknowledged the strength of Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Shaktikanta Das. He has been voted the world’s top central banker for the second consecutive year. Shaktikanta Das has received an A+ rating in the Global Finance Central Banker Report Card 2024. He has been given this honor for controlling inflation, economic growth, currency stability and control over interest rates.
The performance of 101 central bunkers around the world is assessed
The Global Finance Central Banker Report Card has been published since 1994. It evaluates the performance of 101 central bankers across the world. They received an A+ rating last year as well. In this report, the grade is measured between A to F rating. Global Finance Magazine looks at the performance of which central bank during a year.
The performance and policies of the Central Bank are monitored
In this Central Banker Report Card of Global Finance, the performance of the governors of 101 central banks is tested on several parameters. It also tests new ideas, approach to dealing with problems and firmness towards its policies. This report also includes the European Union, Eastern Caribbean Central Bank, Bank of Central African States and Central Bank of West African States. It is worth noting that Shaktikanta Das was awarded the Governor of the Year award at the Central Banking Awards, 2023 in London in June.

Shaktikanta Das is the 25th governor of RBI
Shaktikanta Das is the 25th Governor of RBI. He was also appointed as India’s Sherpa in the G20 conference. He is a retired IAS officer of 1980 batch. He was born on 26 February 1957. Under his leadership, RBI has kept the interest rates stable for almost one and a half years. Along with this, inflation has also been controlled. During this time, the country has also achieved an economic growth rate of more than 8 percent.
