When Mithun Chakraborty Dragged Shakti Kapoor: Both Shakti Kapoor and Mithun Chakraborty are brilliant actors of Bollywood. One made his mark by becoming a villain and the other became famous by becoming a lead actor. Shakti Kapoor and Mithun Chakraborty have had a special connection even before they entered the world of acting. Both have studied from the same college. Both Mithun Chakraborty and Shakti Kapoor are students of the Film Television Institute of India. Mithun Chakraborty was Shakti Kapoor’s senior in college. Both of them have worked together in many films but once Mithun Chakraborty had cut Shakti Kapoor’s hair. Shakti Kapoor himself had told about this story.
In an interview given to DD Urdu, Shakti Kapoor said- When we reached Pune, I had beer in my hand and I was considering myself a star. As soon as I reached the FTII hostel, Rakesh Roshan came to meet me. There I saw that a boy was standing at the gate. He was wearing dhoti and had a muscular body. There were so many holes in his dhoti that you couldn’t even count.

Shakti Kapoor further said- He was dusky. I touched Rakesh Roshan’s feet. I had beer in my hand and I asked him – would you like to drink beer? He refused and it was not allowed in the institute. Then he introduced me that he was Mithun Chakraborty. After that Rakesh Roshan went and he held my leg with one hand and dragged me into the room, threw me on the floor and asked – You asked a senior, would you like to drink beer? How dare you?
cut hair
Shakti Kapoor further said- These are all my seniors, I was sitting on the floor. After that Mithun told his friends about me and made fun of my hair. He said – Your hair is dark at night, if you shave your head it will become morning. He took out the scissors and cut them off. I felt very bad and realized that what I had done was wrong.
Cold water swimming
Shakti Kapoor said- Mithun and his friends made him swim with cold water for 20 minutes at night. He said- I look like a monkey. After that I started crying and touched his feet. He took me to the swimming pool and asked me to do 40 laps. I started crying and then he asked me to rest.
