Shabana Azmi was born on 18 September 1950 in Hyderabad to the famous poet Kaifi Azmi and Shaukat Azmi.
Shabana started her film career at the age of 24. Her first film was ‘Ankur’. Her work in this film released in 1974 was highly appreciated.
Shabana was awarded the National Award for Best Actress for her first film. By the way, let us tell you that the record of winning the National Award the most number of times is also registered in Shabana’s name.
