Controversy started with Hindenburg’s disclosure
Madhabi Puri Buch has been in constant controversy for about a month. Her name first came into controversy when American short seller firm Hindenburg Research revealed that the SEBI chief and her husband have a commercial relationship with the Adani Group. However, Madhabi Puri Buch and her husband rejected Hindenburg’s allegations. The Adani Group also issued a statement denying any commercial relationship with the SEBI chief.

Talking about the latest controversy, ET claims that it has seen the letter sent by SEBI officials to the Finance Ministry on August 6, in which the SEBI chief has been accused of spoiling the working environment.
