How many medical seats are there in the country?
Let us know that there are a total of 1,12,112 MBBS seats in medical colleges in the country, on which there is a fight for admission every year. Admissions are given through NEET examination on these seats. At the same time, before the arrival of the Modi government, the total seats of MBBS used to be 51348 till 2014, which was a total of 387 medical colleges in the country till 2014. Apart from this, according to data till July 2024, now the number of medical colleges in the country is 731. Similarly, the post graduate seats of medical have also been increased. As of 2014, the total seats of the post graduate were 31185, while by July 2024, the number of these seats has increased to 72627. But now the students preparing will get relief from increasing medical seats again.
