Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra vs S24 Ultra: Samsung has launched its new flagship smartphone Galaxy S25 Ultra, which is an upgraded version of last year’s Galaxy S24 Ultra. However, this year the company has focused on improving the existing features instead of making major changes. In such a situation, the question arises whether it would be sensible to save S24 Ultra by saving Rs 30,000 or it would be right to upgrade in the new S25 Ultra? Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra Vs S24 Ultra: Performance and Battery

Custom Snapdragon processor is available in both smartphones. Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in S24 Ultra and Snapdragon 8 Elite in S25 Ultra. The new chipset is more powerful, but there will be no big difference in real-world usage.

Both devices have an option of 12GB RAM and 256GB storage (expandable up to 1TB). The battery is also the same, with a capacity of 5000mAh, 45W fast charging and 15W wireless charging.

The camera setup is almost the same. These include a 200MP primary sensor (both in the same), 3x telephoto camera (both in the same). The S25 Ultra has a 50MP ultra-wide camera, while the S24 Ultra has a 12MP ultra-wide camera. Galaxy log video recording support is not available in S25 Ultra, which is not in S24 Ultra. Apart from this, a new feature like virtual aperture has been added to the S25 Ultra.

Display, Design and Build Quality

The display of S25 Ultra is 6.9 inches, while the S24 Ultra is 6.8 inches. Both have 1440x3120p resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and 2600 knots brightness. Gorilla Armor Glass Protection has been provided in S25 Ultra. The design of S25 Ultra is slightly curved, which makes it more comfortable to hold. Both smartphones come with titanium body and IP68 water and dust resistance.

Software and security

The S25 Ultra comes with Android 15 and One UI 7, while the S24 Ultra will soon get an update of Android 15. Both are eligible for 7 -year software updates. In biometric security, both phones have an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. However, S25 Ultra does not get Bluetooth-enabled S-Pen, which was available in S24 Ultra.

Price and decision

The Galaxy S25 Ultra (12GB/256GB) is priced at Rs 1,29,999. Galaxy S24 Ultra is now available around Rs 1,00,000. If you want to save Rs 30,000 and the top-level performance is not necessary, then the S24 Ultra will be a great option. But if you want better design, upgraded camera and latest chipset, the S25 Ultra will give a premium experience.
