Devendra Fadnavis Oath Ceremony: Devendra Fadnavis has taken oath as the new Chief Minister of Maharashtra. Apart from veteran Bollywood actors like Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt, great cricketer Sachin Tendulkar was also present at his swearing-in ceremony. Apart from Fadnavis, Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar will take oath as his Deputy Chief Ministers. Sachin reached the oath-taking ceremony with his wife Anjali Tendulkar. Apart from Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, JP Nadda and Prime Minister Narendra Modi were also present at Azad Maidan.

In Maharashtra elections, Mahayuti had achieved a clear majority by winning 230 out of 288 seats. BJP emerged as the largest party in the elections, winning 132 seats. Shiv Sena and NCP won 57 and 41 seats respectively. As far as the oath ceremony is concerned, the security arrangements of Mumbai have been increased for this and about 4,000 police personnel have been deployed for security. The video of Sachin Tendulkar attending the oath ceremony is going viral and due to the arrival of Bollywood stars and politicians, 8,000 cameras are being continuously monitored in Mumbai.
