Rohit Sharma Dropped Reserve Players List: Many people are still unable to digest the news of Rohit Sharma being dropped from the Sydney Test. There have been very few captains in the history of cricket who have dropped themselves from the team in the middle of a series. In his place, Jasprit Bumrah is captaining Team India in the fifth Test against India vs Australia. Now a new update has come out that before the start of Sydney Test, a list of 16 players was prepared, in which Rohit’s name was not included. This list was shared by BCCI.
As the fifth Test of the series was approaching, doubts over Rohit Sharma’s performance were increasing. Actually, a list is going viral on social media, which includes the names of total 16 players of India for the fifth test against Australia. Rohit’s name is not included in this list and head coach Gautam Gambhir has also signed below this list. Recall that when India won the toss in the Sydney Test, captain Bumrah had said that Rohit Sharma has given himself rest and will try to do whatever is in the interest of the team.
BCCI neither issued any press release nor made any social media post on the absence of Rohit Sharma in the Test team. The sheet of 16 players which is going viral was shared on the official WhatsApp group. Apart from the playing eleven, all the fit players were included in this list, but Rohit Sharma was not seen anywhere. Devdutt Padikkal, Sarfaraz Khan, Dhruv Jurel, Abhimanyu Easwaran and Harshit Rana are also included in the list of reserve players.
