Robin Uthappa Accuses Virat Kohli: Former Indian cricket team player Robin Uthappa has recently given a statement which has created a sensation in the cricket world. Uthappa has claimed that Virat Kohli had played a big role in ending the international career of Yuvraj Singh during his captaincy. According to him, Kohli had blocked Yuvraj’s path to return to the team citing fitness standards.
Made a comeback after defeating cancer
Yuvraj Singh was one of those players who led India to victory in the World Cup 2011. After this, Yuvraj Singh, who returned to the field after battling a serious disease like cancer, was dropped from the team due to strict fitness standards. Uthappa said that Yuvraj tried his best to make a place in the team despite his low lung capacity.
No relief in fitness
Robin Uthappa revealed that Yuvraj had asked for only two points relaxation in the fitness test, but Kohli did not approve it. He also passed the test and made it to the team, but after a bad tournament he was completely dropped. Uthappa said, “Yuvi Pa is the same player who won us the World Cup. He had made a comeback after fighting a deadly disease like cancer. But captain Kohli did not give him any concession in terms of fitness.”
Yuvraj’s career ended suddenly
Robin Uthappa further said that such behavior with Yuvraj proved fatal for his career. After a bad tournament, he was dropped from the team and was not given a chance to return. According to Uthappa, “When Virat Kohli became the captain, Yuvraj did not get the support he needed.”
