He has strengthened his claim as a wicketkeeper in Team India by scoring 109 runs in the second innings of the Test match against Bangladesh. But a picture of him taken before playing a century has created a sensation on social media.
On the third day, India resumed their innings at 81 runs for the loss of 3 wickets. Rishabh Pant and Shubman Gill returned unbeaten at 12 and 33 runs respectively at the end of the second day. But before batting on the third day, Pant was seen worshipping his cricket gear. He has kept his helmet, gloves and bat along with many other things on a table. In the viral picture, he is standing with folded hands and fans are showering love on his unique style.
After scoring a century, Pant closed his eyes and looked towards the sky and thanked God for this memorable innings. Due to his century and his 167-run partnership with Shubman Gill, India was able to set a huge target of 515 runs in front of Bangladesh in the fourth innings.

When Rishabh Pant came to the field after performing Puja, a different kind of enthusiasm was seen in his batting. As always, he entertained the fans a lot by playing crazy shots. This wicketkeeper batsman of India completed his century in 124 balls and his innings ended at a score of 109, in which he hit 13 fours and 4 sixes. Let us tell you that this was Pant’s sixth century in Test cricket and now he has equaled Dhoni in terms of scoring centuries in Test matches.
