Shikhar Dhawan Nepal Premier League: Shikhar Dhawan has no desire to leave cricket right now. This year, he said goodbye to international cricket in the month of August, but after that he was seen playing in Legends League Cricket (LLC 2024). He has prepared to play in the Big Cricket League and now he is also going to participate in the Nepal Premier League (NPL 2024). He will be seen playing for Karnali Yaks in NPL 2024. Let us tell you that this will be the first edition of Nepal Premier League.
A total of eight teams will participate in NPL 2024, while the tournament will start from November 30 and continue till December 21. A total of 32 matches will be played in the league and the format will be like the Indian Premier League (IPL), where the playoff consists of an eliminator, two qualifiers and then the final.
The team of Karnali Yax shared a video clip on social media for promotion. In this video, Shikhar Dhawan is seen saying, “Hello Nepal, I am coming to play Nepal Premier League. I will play for Karnali Yax, I am coming to meet Nepal and its people. So ready. Get ready for the new adventure of cricket.”
Will many foreign stars be seen?
Many other top players including James Neesham, Martin Guptill, Unmukt Chand and Ben Cutting will be seen playing in the first edition of Nepal Premier League. Talking about Karnali Yaks, apart from Shikhar Dhawan, Mohammad Hussain Talat of Pakistan, Babar Hayat of Hong Kong and Chadwick Walton of West Indies are the four foreign players who will play for this team. All the matches of the league will be played at the cricket ground of Tribhuvan International University located in Kirtipur, Nepal.
Shikhar Dhawan has now said goodbye to the International as well as the Indian Premier League. Dhawan, who has scored more than 6700 runs in IPL, will no longer play in IPL. He was last seen playing for Punjab Kings.
