IPL 2025 RCB Squad Updated List: Royal Challengers Bangalore is being heavily criticized due to the decisions taken in the IPL 2025 mega auction. Fans are quite disappointed with Will Jacques not being bought, but if we look at the entire Bengaluru squad, this team can prepare a great playing eleven combination. Let us tell you that before the mega auction, RCB had retained 3 players in the form of Virat Kohli, Yash Dayal and Rajat Patidar.
RCB has prepared a strong squad
Bengaluru has Virat Kohli, who can be seen opening this time too. He is the only batsman to cross the 8,000-run mark in IPL so far. Phil Salt can be seen opening with him, who scored 435 runs while playing for KKR in IPL 2024. In the upcoming season, Rajat Patidar can be promoted to the third position, while Jitesh Sharma can handle the responsibility of the fourth position. Jitesh has so far scored 730 runs in his IPL career after playing 40 matches.
Liam Livingstone and Tim David can be played at the fifth and sixth positions. Both these players are match finishers, can bowl when needed and have been batting brilliantly in international cricket and scoring big scores for their respective teams. This time RCB has also included Krunal Pandya in its squad, who apart from scoring 1,647 runs in his IPL career, has also taken 76 wickets. Krunal will be important because apart from bowling, he will also be providing depth in batting.
World-class bowling attack
Bhuvneshwar Kumar can take charge of the fast bowling for Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2025. Bhubaneswar has been bought by Bengaluru for Rs 10.75 crore. Apart from this, RCB was successful in buying Australian bowler Josh Hazlewood for Rs 12.50 crore. Apart from Bhuvneshwar and Hazlewood, Nuwan Thushara and Yash Dayal can be seen playing the role of the third fast bowler. Along with Krunal Pandya, there seems to be a shortage of only one main spin bowler in the team. Jacob Bethel is in the team, but he does not have much experience of playing on Indian pitches. There seems to be very little hope that Swapnil Singh will be seen as a lead spinner.
RCB’s bench strength also looks quite strong. If the team is looking at Yash Dayal as a main fast bowler, then the team will also have Rasikh Dar Salaam, batting all-rounder Romario Shepherd, Manoj Bhandage and Nuwan Thushara.
Probable playing XI of RCB: Virat Kohli, Phil Salt, Rajat Patidar, Jitesh Sharma, Liam Livingstone, Tim David, Krunal Pandya, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Yash Dayal, Jacob Batchelor, Josh Hazlewood.
Impact Player – Romario Shepherd/Swapnil Singh
