After this, personal information like bank account, card details, PIN and OTP is sought from them. These people are also made to install apps by sending them fake links.
Cybercriminal blackmailed people and got digitally arrested
Many times these cyber criminals have even digitally arrested the victims by blackmailing them in the name of suspicious transactions, money laundering and fraud. RBI has clarified that it never opens the account of any person, company or trust. Apart from this, it never asks anyone to deposit money. RBI never runs things like lottery fund. No calls, messages or emails are sent from their side. In such a situation, people should be careful about this. Never give personal information to anyone.
