Played the last test of his career in Adelaide
The second Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy was played in Adelaide. In this match, Ashwin was made a part of India’s playing eleven. Ashwin took 1 wicket in the Adelaide Test. This Adelaide Test proved to be the last international match of his career. However, Ashwin will continue to play club and domestic cricket.
Ashwin’s international career
It is noteworthy that Ashwin played 106 Tests, 116 ODIs and 65 T20 International matches in his international career. In Tests, he took 537 wickets and scored 3503 runs while batting. Apart from this, in ODI, Ashwin took 156 wickets and scored 707 runs while batting. In the remaining T20 International, Ashwin took 72 wickets and scored 184 runs in batting.
