Gautam Gambhir Head Coach Team India: The Border-Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia is going to start from 22nd November. India’s head coach Gautam Gambhir is under a lot of pressure at the moment as the team recently lost the Test series to New Zealand 0-3 at home. Last two times, Team India had won the Border-Gavaskar Trophy under the captaincy of Ajinkya Rahane and Virat Kohli respectively, on both the occasions the head coach of the team was Ravi Shastri. Meanwhile, former Australia captain Tim Paine has made a scathing attack on India’s current coach Gautam Gambhir.
While discussing on a podcast, Tim Paine said that the biggest problem for the Indian team at the moment is Gautam Gambhir. He said, “I did not like Gautam Gambhir’s reaction. This is not a good sign because I believe he was asked a very simple question. I think Gambhir still sees Ricky Ponting as a rival. I also agree with Ponting’s views because Virat’s absence is really a matter of concern.”
Gautam Gambhir is not fit to be a coach…
Tim Paine further said that Ravi Shastri had created a good environment in the Indian team, but Gambhir has failed to do so. He said, “Ravi Shastri had created a good atmosphere in Team India. The players were full of energy and played with passion. Now the team has got a coach who is full of anger and has a very competitive mindset. I will not say that being competitive is not good, but my concern is that this kind of mentality is not good for the Indian cricket team.
