Mukesh Ambani said in his statement, “Today is a very sad day for India. Ratan Tata’s demise is a big loss not only for Tata Group but for every Indian. On a personal level, Ratan Tata’s demise has I am deeply saddened because I have lost a dear friend. Every conversation with him has inspired and encouraged me and increased my respect for the great character and great human values of Ratan Tata, a visionary industrialist and philanthropist. Always worked for the greater good of the society.”
He further said, “With the demise of Ratan Tata, India has lost one of its most famous and kindest sons. Ratan Tata took India to the world and brought the best of the world to India. He institutionalized the Tata Group. and expanded it 70 times since becoming Chairman in 1991. On behalf of Reliance, Nita and the Ambani family, I express my deepest condolences to the grieving members of the Tata Group, you will always be in my heart. Om Shanti.”
