Rashid Khan Injury: Afghanistan’s star all-rounder Rashid Khan is currently playing in England’s 100-ball league ‘The Hundred’. In this tournament, Kieron Pollard hit 5 consecutive sixes on Rashid Khan. Now the news of Rashid Khan being injured has come to light. Rashid is a part of Trent Rockets in the tournament. Information about Rashid Khan’s injury was shared through the team’s official social media. Rashid’s injury can become a big problem for Afghanistan as Afghanistan has to play a Test match against New Zealand next month.
The only Test between Afghanistan and New Zealand will be played in Greater Noida, India from 9 to 13 September. Now it will be interesting to see whether Rashid Khan is able to take part in the Test against New Zealand or not.
Talking about Rashid’s injury, it was not clarified by Trent Rockets what injury Rashid has suffered. An Instagram post by Trent Rockets read, “Rashid Khan is out of the rest of The Hundred competition due to injury.” Rashid scored 44 runs in five innings of The Hundred and took 9 wickets while bowling.
In place of Rashid, Trent Rockets have included Chris Green in the team. Chris Green is an Australian all-rounder. He has played one T20 International match for Australia. Chris is a spinner. 30-year-old Chris played the only T20 for Australia in December 2023. Since then, he could not make it to the Australian team again.

It is worth noting that the Trent Rockets team has been eliminated from The Hundred. The team has played 7 matches, winning 3 and losing 4. Now the team has to play its last league match against Oval Invincibles on 14 August.
