The name of this batsman is Abhimanyu Easwaran. Abhimanyu has scored 7638 runs in 99 first class matches, which includes 29 half-centuries and 27 centuries. But Abhimanyu has not been able to debut in international cricket yet. Till now he has kept his hopes of playing for India alive. It is expected that Abhimanyu may get a chance to play in the Border Gavaskar Trophy.
Abhimanyu Easwaran enters for 100th first class match
Abhimanyu Easwaran is moving towards his 100th match. Easwaran is playing his 100th first class match against Bihar in Ranji Trophy 2024-25. Due to rain the first day was canceled without a ball being bowled. This opportunity was special for Abhimanyu, he said, “It has been a memorable journey for me. I have learned a lot by playing so many matches and this is a big achievement for me.”
Team India’s dream still remains
Abhimanyu Easwaran is still focused on making a place in the Indian team. In recent times, he proved his form by scoring four centuries. Regarding this he said, “The biggest goal for me is to play for India. I have enjoyed my journey, but the real dream is still pending.”
Chance against Australia?
Abhimanyu Easwaran can be selected as the reserve opener for India’s upcoming Australia Test series. Despite the success and consistency, Easwaran is keeping it simple and focusing on his game. He said, “Yes, I am also aware of these discussions, but I always focus on my next match.” Abhimanyu Easwaran said all these things during an interview with Times of India.
