Rani has revealed many secrets of Bhojpuri film industry in an interview. He has talked about big artists like Manoj Tiwari, Pawan Singh and Khesari Lal Yadav. He alleged that there was a time when Manoj Tiwari used to get him fired from films.
‘I thought Manoj Tiwari was supportive’
Rani Chatterjee said during an interview with Real Talk, ‘I felt that Manoj ji was very supportive of me. In the beginning, it happened many times that I joined the film, many meetings took place, the budget was also finalized and later it was found out that I was not in the film. I have been thrown out of the film. Many people used to say that this is happening because of Manoj ji, he is getting it done but I never believed it. I felt that he was so supportive of me. Let’s meet nicely. When we come to Mumbai, we also come to home. Meet me so sweetly.

Rani Chatterjee said- ‘What happened once was that a film called Vidhaata was being made. There were film stars like Manoj Tiwari, Ravi Kishan. I was also in that film. Then later I came to know that there was talk of removing me from the film. I thought that if I was removed from such a big film after going to the Muhurta, what impact would it have on me. I prayed a lot that this should not happen but ultimately I was removed from the film.
‘But then I called Manoj ji for the first time. I asked what problem do you have with me. Why do you want to remove me from the Creator? So he said that no, it is not so, this is the decision of the producer. I have no problem with you. Why are you saying this, how can I say this? But I clearly told him that I have not called you to argue, I just want to say that a hero here has only the status to remove me from a film, not more than that.
