IND vs ENG T20 Series: A five-match T20 series will be played between India and England from January 22. BCCI announced Team India for this series on Saturday night. England has already announced its team for the T20 and ODI series. Many such players, who were considered future stars till some time ago, have not got a chance in the T20 series against England.
These 3 players did not get a chance
The Indian team last played a T20 series in South Africa. In that series, fast bowler Avesh Khan, left arm fast bowler Yash Dayal and middle order batsman Ramandeep Singh were part of Team India, but all these three players have not been selected for the T20 series against England.
Even the vice captain did not get a chance
Nitish Kumar Reddy has got a chance against England in place of Ramandeep Singh. Whereas in place of Avesh Khan and Yash Dayal, Mohammed Shami and Harshit Rana are part of Team India. Surprisingly, Shubman Gill, who was recently made vice-captain, has not got a place in the T20 series against England. However, along with Gill, Rishabh Pant and Yashasvi Jaiswal are also not part of this team. In such a situation, these players will get a chance in the ODI series, because they have to play in the 2025 Champions Trophy.
There was one more surprising thing. Head coach Gautam Gambhir was being accused of giving more opportunities to the players of Kolkata Knight Riders. But this did not put any pressure on Gambhir. He has surprised everyone with his decision.
