Rahul Dravid talked about shooter Manu Bhaker, who won India’s first medal of Olympics 2024 in Paris. Manu Bhaker won bronze in 10 meter air pistol. Regarding Manu Bhaker, Dravid said, “Manu’s story is amazing. Coming here and winning a medal after the disappointment in Tokyo Olympics is an extraordinary achievement. It felt good to be here on such a special day. Such achievements are achieved through years of sacrifice, hard work and dedication. It is not easy for a player.”
Dravid spoke on cricket in Olympics
Apart from this, Dravid talked about cricket in the Olympics in a discussion. He said, “I have heard serious talk about this in the dressing room. People are talking about the T20 World Cup in 2026, the World Cup in 2027 and the Olympic Games in 2028. I have heard it being said that there is an Olympics in 2028.”
Dravid further said, “Cricketers also want to win gold medals. They want to stand on the podium and be a part of a big sporting event.”
