Pushpa 2 Movie Review: Pushpa has returned after making us wait for 3 years. This time he has appeared on screen with more ferocity and swag. You also know the excitement there was about the film. But does this film really live up to all the expectations that it had created in the minds of the audience before its release? Before watching the movie, read the review of Pushpa 2 The Rule, you will get the answers to these questions.
Story of ‘Pushpa 2’:
In the last film we saw Pushpa expanding her empire. In this film the story is ahead of that. As difficult as it is to acquire a throne, it is more difficult to maintain it. But the name that can break the back of these difficulties is Pushpa. This time Pushpa has got the power like Rocky Bhai of KGF. He has got the power to make changes in state politics.
As Spiderman’s uncle had said that great powers come with great responsibility, the same seemed to happen with Pushpa. To ensure that his attitude does not diminish and his swag remains intact, he makes a major reshuffle in the state. He has to raise thousands of crores for this reshuffle. These thousands of crores are to come from the same red sandalwood due to which he became an owner from a laborer.
Police officer Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat is also standing in the way of Pushpa’s red sandalwood smuggling. Who is equal to Pushpa and sometimes even more eccentric and stubborn. What does Pushpa do to maintain the prestige of her throne? This is the story of the film.
How is ‘Pushpa 2’?
It is a pure masala film. If you go looking for class in the film, you won’t find it. But the way the audience sitting next to me was reacting to every scene of the film, they were clapping and happily repeating the same dialogues that Pushpa was speaking. Seeing all this it was understood that Sukumar knows what the ‘mass’ needs. He gave the same to the people.
The story is full of turns and twists like those seen in Saif Ali Khan’s Race in 2008, but in a completely desi style. Every time one wonders what will happen next and then whatever happens gives goosebumps.
The action of the film is similar to what has been seen in South movies for the last two decades. But his choreography and background music increase his impact. There is a long scene in the film where seeing Pushpa fighting in Maa Kali’s getup, it seems that that scene has been written like a ‘poem’. That is, director-writer Sukumar has done here what Sanjay Leela Bhansali has been seen doing in many of his films.
acting
This is the strongest part of this film. Allu Arjun’s comeback in the role of Pushpa after a gap of 3 years is even better than the 2021 Pushpa. The reason for this is that last time he had to show only his fierce form. But this time there were many dimensions in his character like emotional, sad, angry. That means this time too he has already become the nominee for the Best Actor Award.
Rashmika Mandanna’s role has been written very intelligently. In a hero film, the heroine does not have much else to do except dance and love. But in Pushpa 2 he has all this. Rashmika’s specialty in the film is that whenever she comes on screen, she fulfills the responsibility of a good actor in an excellent manner.
Lastly the most important is Fahadh Faasil. In the role of villain, he goes around the character of wanted Prakashraj. There is a different glow as soon as he appears on the screen. Along with Allu, his fan following is also going to increase very rapidly after this film. Because when it comes to acting, he has blown away the cherry on the cake.
Direction and writing of Pushpa 2
There was a huge responsibility on the shoulders of director Sukumar as he had maintained a track record of 100 percent success in the last 3 films with Allu Arjun. With this fourth film also he has fulfilled that responsibility.
While writing, utmost care has been taken not to waste even a few minutes of the audience’s time. Even if you get some time, you have to try your best to force them to blow the whistle in the next few minutes.
What did he not do in the film in the name of cinematic liberties? Despite showing illogical things at many places, he appeared logical because he gave what the audience wanted. This is the wonder of his direction.
